Terms & Conditions

Last updated 15 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Sebastian Crabb for use of PushApe. Please read the health warning in particular — it matters more than the rest.

Health and safety — please read this

PushApe is a fitness app. Exercise carries a risk of injury, and that risk is yours.

You should not begin any exercise programme without first considering whether it is safe for you, and you should consult a qualified doctor before starting if you have any medical condition, injury, or concern, if you are pregnant, or if you are otherwise unsure.

Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath, and seek medical advice.

We are not doctors. PushApe does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing in the app should be treated as such. You exercise at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own safety and for exercising within your own limits.

Competitive features — head-to-head races, challenges, streaks and leaderboards — are designed to be motivating. Do not let them push you beyond what is safe for you. Do not sacrifice form, rest or medical good sense to protect a streak or win a match.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and is responsible for supervising your exercise. Young people are still growing, and a parent or guardian should decide what amount and intensity of exercise is appropriate.

Who can use PushApe

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By using PushApe you confirm that you are.

If you are under 18, you may only use PushApe with the permission of a parent or guardian, and that parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms — particularly the health and safety section above — on your behalf. A person under 18 cannot give a legally binding agreement to the risks of exercise on their own.

If you are a parent or guardian permitting a child to use PushApe, you agree to these terms on their behalf and accept responsibility for supervising their use of the app and their exercise.

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password secure. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Tell us at support@pushape.app if you believe someone else has accessed it.

You may hold one account. Creating additional accounts to manipulate leaderboards, trophies or rankings is not permitted.

Rep counting is an estimate

PushApe counts repetitions using an on-device machine-learning model that estimates your body position from the camera. It is an estimate, not a measurement.

It can miscount. Lighting, camera angle, clothing, surface, background and how quickly you move all affect accuracy. Counts may be too high or too low.

We do not warrant that counts are accurate, and you should not rely on them for any medical, clinical, professional or competitive purpose beyond the app itself.

Acceptable use — zero tolerance for abuse

PushApe lets you choose a username, create team names and interact with other users. We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You must not:

We review reports of objectionable content and act on them, normally within 24 hours. Where content or behaviour breaches these rules we may remove the content, reset statistics, suspend the account, or remove the user permanently, without notice and without refund.

Reporting and blocking

If you see a username, team name or behaviour that breaches these rules, report it from that user's profile in the app, or email support@pushape.app.

You can also block a user from their profile. Blocking hides them from your leaderboards and friends list, removes any friend connection, and prevents them from sending you requests or challenges.

We aim to review every report within 24 hours and remove offending content and users where the report is upheld.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you create — your username, team names and workout data. By using the app you grant us a licence to store, display and share that content within PushApe as needed to run the service, including showing your username and statistics to other users on leaderboards.

You are responsible for the content you provide, and you confirm you have the right to use it.

Availability and changes

We provide PushApe as it is, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We try to keep it running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Leaderboards reset weekly and seasons reset periodically; this is part of normal operation and not a loss of data you can claim for.

Ending your use

You may stop using PushApe and delete your account at any time from within the app.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, particularly the acceptable use rules above.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your exercise, from reliance on repetition counts, from loss of data, or from the conduct of other users. To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided without warranties of any kind.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
